After extensive discussions with numerous communities in the Chi Kraeng Province, we have selected the following projects to focus our attentions on:

Community Development

Temple Garden Foundation's principal purpose is community development, empowerment and leadership training. Our annual community development costs, which cover staff salaries, transport and meals etc are in the order of US$150,000.00. We have recently started an adopt-a-village programme costing US$10,000 per year per sponsored village.

Sanitation

Many communities do not have regular and convienent access to safe water sources. Temple Garden Foundation works with villages to provide advice and materials for cement ring design wells.

Eductation

Temple Garden Foundation (TGF) consults closely with the Ministry of Education. Some of the many projects TGF is involved with include vocational training for adults, teacher training for Primary school teachers and school construction. n.

Health Care

With the co-operation of the Ministry of Health, Temple Garden Foundation (TGF) is funding the construction of a health clinic in Pongro Leu. In 2010 our Health Programme Director will be coordinating health education and health outreach projects throughout the target communities we work in.

Infrastructure

There is a need to repair roads and rebuild numerous small bridges, culverts and levees to improve asccessability to the markets, healthcare and schools for the very remote villages.

These are simple tasks which can be completed quickly with the villagers providing the manpower and Temple Garden Foundation providing materials and construction advice.

There is an immediate beneficial impact within the commune at all levels.

Cost: from US$100 depending on the project.
